Tuition Payment Plan


In an effort to make EMS training affordable to as many people as possible, the Lowcountry EMS Council offers students the opportunity to stretch their tuition payments, as outlined below for the Basic EMT, Advanced EMT and Paramedic programs with no interest payment and no additional fee, provided the terms of the payment program are met.

The terms of the Tuition Payment Plan follows and it is important that students seeking to utilize the plan understand them completely:

Paramedic Course
  • To take advantage of the Tuition Payment Plan, the student agrees to pay a minimum down payment of 50% of the tuition at registration and the remaining 50% in two equal payments. Payment two would be due prior to sitting for the Module 3 exam. Payment three (the final payment) would be due six months from the first day of class. The balance of tuition must be paid in full by six months.
  • In the case of an unpaid balance, in addition to all other remedies available to Lowcountry Regional EMS Council, Inc. all further services to the student will be withheld. In addition, failure to make any scheduled payment may result in the withholding of services from Lowcountry Regional EMS Council and/or dismissal from the course.
  • In the event any sum to be paid under the agreement is in default for more than a period of thirty (30) days, the student will be charged a 1.5% monthly finance charge on the unpaid balance.
  • In the event legal action is taken to enforce this agreement, the student will be responsible for all fees and costs incurred by Lowcountry Regional EMS Council, Inc. in the collection of the unpaid balance.

Advanced EMT Bridge Course
  • To take advantage of the Tuition Payment Plan, the student agrees to pay a minimum down payment of 50% of the tuition at registration and the remaining 50% due at 30 calendar days into the course.
  • In the case of an unpaid balance, in addition to all other remedies available to Lowcountry Regional EMS Council, Inc. All further services to the student will be withheld. In addition, failure to make any scheduled payment may result in the withholding of services from Lowcountry Regional EMS Council and/or dismissal from the course.
  • In the event any sum paid under the agreement is in default for more than a period of thirty (30) days, the student will be charged a 1.5% monthly finance charge on the unpaid balance.
  • In the event legal action is taken to enforce this agreement, the student will be responsible for all fees and costs incurred by Lowcountry Regional EMS Council, Inc. in the collection of the unpaid balance.

AEMT & Basic Courses
  • To take advantage of the Tuition Payment Plan, the student agrees to pay a minimum down payment of 50% of the tuition at registration and the remaining 50% due at 60 calendar days into the course.
  • In the case of an unpaid balance, in addition to all other remedies available to Lowcountry Regional EMS Council, Inc. All further services to the student will be withheld. In addition, failure to make any scheduled payment may result in the withholding of services from Lowcountry Regional EMS Council and/or dismissal from the course.
  • In the event any sum paid under the agreement is in default for more than a period of thirty (30) days, the student will be charged a 1.5% monthly finance charge on the unpaid balance.
  • In the event legal action is taken to enforce this agreement, the student will be responsible for all fees and costs incurred by Lowcountry Regional EMS Council, Inc. in the collection of the unpaid balance.

Students may make arrangements with the Lowcountry Regional EMS Business Office to provide a larger down payment and reduce the two remaining payment amounts if they wish.
